Burgers to Beat MS
Supporting Canadians, Burger by Burger.

On average, someone in Canada is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) every two hours. Canada has one of the highest rates of MS in the world – and we need your help to change that.
From July 21 to August 21, A&W Canada and MS Canada are teaming up for the 17th annual Burgers to Beat MS Campaign. This coast-to-coast effort brings Canadians together to raise funds for MS research advocacy and support services
Burgers to Beat MS Day is on Thursday, August 21, when $2 from every Teen Burger® sold is donated directly to MS Canada.
Ways to Support (Starting July 21):
- Buy a Teen Burger® on August 21 – $2 goes to MS Canada
- Round up your bill at any A&W across the country
- Donate in-restaurant and sign a Burgers to Beat MS cut-out
- Donate $2 for a booklet of six A&W coupons
Since 2008, the Burgers to Beat MS campaign has raised a sizzling $21 million and counting! And guess what? Every single dollar goes right back to our community, funding critical research and support programs. Funds raised allow us to:
- Advance treatment and care – including funding research to develop treatment and care options leading to improved health outcomes for people living with MS.
- Enhance well-being – ensure that people affected by MS receive quality access and support that they need in whichever community they live in. Some examples of this programming include virtual wellness, 1:1 Peer Support, and the MS Knowledge Network.
- Understand and halt disease progression – including funding research to understand the mechanisms, underlying causes, and complexities of MS.
- Prevent MS – including funding research to better understand the underlying cause of and risk factors for MS to help us reduce the number of people who develop the disease – and ultimately stop the disease before it starts.
