Jessica F. "My name is Jessica, and I was diagnosed with MS at age 15. In 2019, I underwent a stem cell transplant to ‘re-boot’ my immune system and stop the progression of my disease. I endured 11 rounds of chemotherapy in eight days. It was by far the hardest experience of my life. But it worked. Since my transplant, I’ve had no relapses, no progression and no new lesions. The treatment I had was the result of ground-breaking research and was only made possible because of the generosity of MS Society donors. Without donor support, I may never have known the difference a stem cell transplant could make. I can’t tell you how much it means to me that wonderful donors like you choose to support critical research and important services through the MS Society of Canada. Your generosity gives those of us living with MS hope for a better future. Because of you, Nutella and I can keep hiking mountains for years to come – THANK YOU." |
