We are seeking a lead volunteer to join our team to support our Event Information & Volunteer Check in volunteers for the MS Bike - Leduc to Camrose is taking place on Sunday, June 23 at Silent Ice Centre in Nisku. The Event Information & Volunteer Check In area will serve as a hub for participants and volunteers to check in and receive information as needed.
MS Bike is the largest fundraising cycling series in North America. Cyclists of all ages and fitness levels across Canada come together each year to end Canada’s disease: multiple sclerosis. With hundreds of participants, volunteers are needed to help with every aspect of the entire event. This is a great opportunity to make an impact in your community using your talent and time.
Event Information & Volunteer Check In Lead volunteer responsibilities:
- The first point of contact and responsible for welcoming participants and directing them where to go
- Provide direction regarding event site
- Greet volunteers and welcome them to the bike, be upbeat and excited and help direct them to where their role location is for the day
- Find name on volunteer list and check off/highlight their name
- If their name does not appear on the list, they must review MS Bike – Volunteer Policies Summary and then fill out the Volunteer Sign in sheet
- Provide volunteer with t-shirt and information on where they will be stationed
Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult (18+).
