Volunteer Opportunities

Saturday, Queen Margaret's School, Bartender

Bike - BCY - Cowichan
660 Brownsey Ave, Duncan, BC

We are seeking individuals to join our team to support by bartending at the beer gardens for the MS Bike - Cowichan, taking place July 13th at Queen Margaret’s School. Provide bartending services to participants and guests in the designated beer garden area.

MS Bike is the largest fundraising cycling series in North America. Cyclists of all ages and fitness levels across Canada come together each year to end Canada’s disease: multiple sclerosis. With hundreds of participants, volunteers are needed to help with every aspect of the entire event. This is a great opportunity to make an impact in your community using your talent and time.

Volunteer responsibilities:

·      Set-up and clean-up

·      Serve alcoholic and other beverages

·      Monitor the cleanliness of the area

·      Restock supplies

·      Ensure all attendees are behaving responsibly. If not, speak with MS Staff about concern.

*This role requires provincial Serving It Right liquor serving certification.

If you have any questions about the provincial liquor serving requirements of the role or would like to discuss alternative volunteer opportunities, please don't hesitate to reach out. We appreciate your willingness to help make a difference.
