Friday Event Set Up

BIKE - ATL - Windsor

We are seeking volunteers to join our team to support Event Set Up on the evening of Friday August 7 at the West Hants Sportsplex. This role will assist throughout the event set-up process and help create a welcoming and exciting event for everyone!​

MS Bike is an energizing challenge you can feel good about. Going the distance makes a difference and every kilometre ridden brings us closer to a world free of multiple sclerosis. By volunteering, you'll play a crucial role in making this event a success while having fun, meeting new people, and supporting people affected by MS.   

Volunteer Responsibilities: 

  • Unload supplies and equipment 
  • Set up tents and tables​ 
  • Prepare the Start line​ 
  • Set up signage around the event site(s) as instructed​ 
  • Build/assemble fencing 

Skills: 

  • Event Setup/Logistics Experience 
  • Organization 
  • Attention to Detail 
  • Hands-on/Physical tasks

Support & Resources: 

  • Orientation with event overview and specific volunteer role information 
  • Ongoing connection to the Volunteer team, with training and support on an as-needed basis leading up to event day 

*Please be aware that the Event Set Up involves tasks that require volunteers to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25lbs. If you have any questions about the physical requirements of the role or would like to discuss alternative volunteer opportunities, please don't hesitate to reach out. Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult (18+).
