Participant Check In

Walk - ATL - Halifax

We are seeking enthusiastic and organized individuals to join our Participant Check-In team for the 2026 Halifax MS Walk scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 31 at Acadia Park. 

As a team member, you will assist in the participant check-in process, provide event information, take donations, and express gratitude for participants' support. 

Training for participant check-in duties is required prior to the event day. 

The MS Walk is a community-driven event for people living with or affected by MS as well as those who want to support our vision of creating a world free of MS. Tens of thousands of Canadians come together in their communities every May to participate, fundraise and volunteer in MS Walk to help find the cause and cure for this disease. These events would not be possible without the support of hundreds of dedicated volunteers given their time. 

Volunteer Responsibilities:  

  • Provide event information to participants and answer any questions that arise 
  • Inquire with participants who have not yet donated or fundraised - handle money as required 
  • Thank participants for attending and supporting the MS Walk

Support & Resources: 

  • Orientation with event overview and specific volunteer role information 
  • Ongoing connection to the Volunteer team, with training and support on an as-needed basis leading up to event day 

Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult (18+).
