Event Day Volunteer (Floater)
Walk - ATL - Halifax
650 Sackville Dr, Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia
We are seeking hardworking and self-motivated individuals to act as event day floater volunteers for our event for the 2026 Halifax MS Walk scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 31 at Acadia Park. As one of our floater volunteers, you will play a crucial role in the event by helping wherever you're needed most, and ensuring that all elements are in place for a successful event.
The MS Walk is a community-driven event for people living with or affected by MS as well as those who want to support our vision of creating a world free of MS. Tens of thousands of Canadians come together in their communities every May to participate, fundraise and volunteer in MS Walk to help find the cause and cure for this disease. These events would not be possible without the support of hundreds of dedicated volunteers given their time.
Volunteer Responsibilities could include:
- Help set up and/or tear down tents, tables, chairs, banners & signs
- Decorate and tidy the site
- Entertain children at the Kids Zone
- Hand out food and beverages
- Cheer on participants as they walk the route
- Other duties as needed
Good for:
- Adults
- Youth
- Post-Secondary Students
- Groups
- Families
Support & Resources:
- Orientation with event overview and specific volunteer role information
- Ongoing connection to the Community team, with training and support on an as-needed basis leading up to event day
Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult (18+)
If you have any questions about the role or would like to discuss alternative volunteer opportunities, please don't hesitate to reach out.
