Participant Check-In Lead

We are seeking a reliable and proactive individual to join our volunteer team as a Participant Check-In Lead for our upcoming 2026 Vancouver MS Walk scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 31st at Rocky Point Park, Port Moody (2800 Murray St, Port Moody, BC). The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the participant check-in area, ensuring a smooth and efficient registration process for all event attendees. As a Participant Check-In Lead, you will play a vital role in supporting our participant check-in volunteers, managing the check-in process, and providing excellent customer service to event participants.
Training for participant check-in duties is required prior to the event day.
MS Walk is a one-day event happening in over 50 in-person locations in Canada where people living with and/or affected by multiple sclerosis come together. Whether you live with MS or know someone who does, MS Walk is the best place to forge meaningful connections and build lifelong relationships that bring us closer toward a world free of MS.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Oversee the participant check-in area - provide guidance and support for participant check in volunteers
- Provide event information to participants and answer any questions that arise
- Inquire with participants who have not yet donated or fundraised - handle money as required
- Thank participants for attending and supporting the MS Walk
- Troubleshoot any unforeseen situations that arise

Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult (18+).
