Parking Guide

We are seeking proactive individuals to join our volunteer team as parking guides for the 2026 Durham Region MS Walk scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 31st at Kiwanis Heydenshore Park and Pavilion. Your primary role will involve directing vehicles to available parking spots, providing instructions to drivers, and maintaining order to facilitate a safe and organized parking experience for all participants. Additionally, you will serve as a point of contact for attendees seeking parking information and coordinate with fellow volunteers and event staff to address any parking-related challenges. 

The MS Walk is a community-driven event for people living with or affected by MS as well as those who want to support our vision of creating a world free of MS. Tens of thousands of Canadians come together in their communities every May to participate, fundraise and volunteer in MS Walk to help find the cause and cure for this disease. These events would not be possible without the support of hundreds of dedicated volunteers given their time.  

Volunteer Responsibilities: 

  • Direct traffic to parking spots

Support & Resources: 

  • Orientation with event overview and specific volunteer role information 
  • Ongoing connection to the Volunteer team, with training and support on an as-needed basis leading up to event day 

Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult (18+).
