Checkpoint Attendant

We are seeking upbeat and enthusiastic individuals to join our volunteer team as a Checkpoint Attendants for our upcoming 2026 Durham Region MS Walk scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 31st at Kiwanis Heydenshore Park and Pavilion. The primary responsibility of the Checkpoint Attendant is to assist with loading/unloading event supplies, setting up the checkpoint area, and greeting participants with enthusiasm as they pass by.
The MS Walk is a community-driven event for people living with or affected by MS as well as those who want to support our vision of creating a world free of MS. Tens of thousands of Canadians come together in their communities every May to participate, fundraise and volunteer in MS Walk to help find the cause and cure for this disease. These events would not be possible without the support of hundreds of dedicated volunteers given their time.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Help load/unload event vehicles with supplies
- Set up and clean up checkpoint areas
- Greet and cheer on participants
