Volunteer Check-In

We are seeking individuals to join our team to support Volunteer Check-in for the 2026 Durham Region MS Walk scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 31st at Kiwanis Heydenshore Park and Pavilion. Assist throughout the volunteer check in process and help create a welcoming and exciting event for volunteers!
The MS Walk is a community-driven event for people living with or affected by MS as well as those who want to support our vision of creating a world free of MS. Tens of thousands of Canadians come together in their communities every May to participate, fundraise and volunteer in MS Walk to help find the cause and cure for this disease. These events would not be possible without the support of hundreds of dedicated volunteers given their time.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Greet volunteers and welcome them to the walk, be upbeat and enthusiastic
- Find name on volunteer list and check off/highlight their name
- If their name does not appear on the list, they must review MS Walk – Volunteer Policies Summary and then fill out the Volunteer Sign in sheet
- Provide volunteer with t-shirt and information on where they will be stationed

- Orientation with event overview and specific volunteer role information
- Ongoing connection to the Volunteer team, with training and support on an as-needed bases leading up to event day
Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult (18+).
