New name, same vision: A world free of MS
MS Society of Canada is now MS Canada
We’re excited to announce that as of January 2023, the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society of Canada will be operating under a new name – MS Canada. This name change is the result of a recent amalgamation of the MS Society and the MS Scientific Foundation. This change will help to streamline operations, collectively execute on strategy, communicate our impact clearly and transparently, all while exemplifying our one team philosophy.
MS Canada will continue to fulfill the mission of the MS Society of Canada and the MS Scientific Research Foundation and will build upon 75 years of commitment to the MS community. This operational change to the organization will help us continue our efforts towards our four impact goals:
- Understand and halt disease progression
- Advance treatment and care
- Enhance well-being of those living with MS
- Prevent MS from happening in the first place
The MS Canada name will be introduced into our operations throughout the year using a phased approach. During this time of transition, the MS Society of Canada name may still be used for certain events or programs in 2023. Regardless of what name is being used, our dedication to the MS community is unwavering.
New name, New opportunities
With the new name, comes new opportunity. We believe this is our opportunity to welcome new community members, celebrate with community members we currently work with, and introduce a new brand identity in the coming months. This visual representation will retain the familiarity of our current brand while introducing modern and inclusive elements.
Alongside our community members, we look forward to beginning an exciting chapter of an organization that expands on 75 years of experience, trust, and connection. MS Canada is a place where we all belong, united within diversity but connected through a razor-sharp focus on the ultimate goal: a world free of MS.
