May is MS Awareness Month — a time to come together, raise awareness, and support Canadians affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). On Wednesday, May 6, you can #TakeActionForMS by joining our Digital Carnation Pinning and showing your support online.
For more than 50 years, the carnation has symbolized hope for the MS community. First launched in 1975 by the MS Society in Quebec, the MS Carnation Campaign has since become a powerful national emblem in the movement to improve the lives of people affected by MS.
Join the Digital Carnation Pinning on Wednesday, May 6 by sharing our graphics or printing the poster and taking a selfie, to show Canadians affected by MS that they’re not alone. Make sure to tag @mscanadaofficial and use the hashtag #TakeActionForMS.

Your Impact
MS Canada provides information, support and advocacy to people affected by MS and funds research to find the cause and cure for the disease, bringing us closer to a world free of MS.
Leading-Edge Research
Canada is home to world-renowned scientific experts and well-established collaborations among the MS research community that are essential in ensuring we fund the most promising developments. Over our 78-year history, we have raised more than $233 million to fund research efforts.
The Cost of MS
A recent study highlighted the significant socioeconomic cost of MS to Canada, estimating the total annual cost of illness to be more than $3.4 billion. Unmet health needs stemming from pandemic disruptions will have a long-lasting negative impact on health outcomes of people living with MS.
The MS Knowledge Network
Canadians affected by MS can access a hub of knowledge where MS Navigators provide consistent, quality information and support tailored for their unique situation.
MS Canada continually advocates to improve the quality of life for those affected by MS. #TakeActionForMS by adding your name to one of the priorities.
