Pedaling for Purpose, Community, and a Cure
Brennan’s Powerful Connection to MS Bike
“My connection to MS runs deeper than just my own diagnosis. My grandmother, Alice, also lived with MS. Knowing that this disease has affected multiple generations of my family makes the fight even more personal and fuels my determination to help end MS.
When I was first diagnosed, I was scared of what it meant for my future. What I didn’t know then was how many incredible things were still ahead of me.
I made some changes and committed to taking better care of myself. I quit smoking, started working out, got into golfing, and discovered cycling—not just as a form of exercise, but as a source of strength, purpose, and community.

I met my amazing wife, Marni, in 2014. In 2016, we welcomed our daughter, Aubrey, and got married. Our son, Ethan, joined our family two years later. We were living in Regina Beach, Saskatchewan—a beautiful, tight-knit community that showed us incredible support during the early years of my diagnosis. In 2019, we moved to Lumsden, and we quickly fell in love with the town and the people in it.
Both Regina Beach and Lumsden, along with the surrounding communities, have been a vital part of our journey. Their support, especially around our annual MS fundraisers, has meant the world to us. Whether it’s donating, volunteering, riding alongside us, or cheering us on, their kindness and generosity have helped carry us through.
The MS community is also an important part of my journey. What started as a personal diagnosis in 2013 has grown into something much bigger. Through MS Bike and other MS Canada events, I’ve built relationships that mean the world to me. The memories I’ve made through this journey are moments I’ll carry with me forever. To the MS community, thank you for lifting me up, riding beside me, and reminding me that I’m never alone. This community is truly something special and I feel lucky every day to be part of it. From fellow riders to volunteers to donors cheering us on, there’s something powerful about being surrounded by people who truly understand the cause. It’s emotional, uplifting, and motivating. But it’s also about purpose.

Living with MS, I know firsthand how important research, awareness, and support programs are. Riding in MS Bike and raising funds gives me a way to take action and do something tangible in the face of a disease that often feels out of our control. It’s more than just a cycling event; it’s a movement with a powerful community full of purpose, support, and determination. It’s also a way to fight back. Every mile I ride is a reminder I’m still moving forward. MS Bike is a chance to turn that motion into momentum for everyone living with MS. I ride for myself, but I also ride for the thousands of others who are facing the same diagnosis. Whether you ride for a loved one, in honour of someone living with MS, or to support a cause that touches so many, every pedal stroke makes a difference. When you ride, you become part of a nationwide effort. The ride itself is an experience you’ll never forget. The energy. The stories. The people. The sense of making a real impact together. So why ride? Because you can. Because it matters. Because this fight needs all of us!
I’m so proud of my amazing MS Bike team, C&C Realty MSaries. We’re close to hitting an incredible milestone—raising over $100,000 in support of the MS community. When you donate, you’re not just giving money—you’re giving hope, options, and a better future for Canadians living with this disease. You’re helping families stay strong. You’re helping researchers push boundaries. And you’re joining a movement to end MS.
This journey hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been filled with strength, purpose, and unforgettable memories. I ride not only for myself, but for my grandmother, for my family, for every person affected by this disease, and for a future where MS is no longer part of anyone’s story.”
